The talented Czech musician Marcell, who at the end of last year released his debut album called Hovory dom, is going on his first solo tour. During the final preparations for the tour, he also completed the music video for the new single Promises, which is currently in the top 20 most played house songs on the radio.
“The video clip for the song Promises is my most informative video clip so far, which we went to shoot in the beginning of January to the north of Germany and Denmark, to the island of Sylt and Rømø. I’m glad that the director of the clip, Mark Jarkovský, and I made this decision and completed this journey. The atmosphere, which seeped into the clip thanks to the locations, seems unique to me,” said Marcell. Filming took place throughout the journey, when they traveled over 2,000 km in a Volvo electric car, of which Marcell is an ambassador.
At the concert line, which will start on March 22 at the Rock Café in Prague, they will present all their previous hits such as Tvůj svět, Nevim or the current single Sliby, which has been playing on some domestic radio stations since January. The album Calls to Home was released last December and was received with positive criticism not only by the professional public, but also by fans. The album was prepared for two years and was filmed in Prague, Berlin and London. Listeners will find fifteen songs on it, including hits such as Your World, Jablko/Skořice or Nevim in collaboration with Ben Cristovao. Marcello’s name appeared on the shortlist of seven performers for this year’s nominations for the Anděl Awards 2022 in the category Discovery of the Year.
Other guests on Marcello’s new record are, in addition to the already mentioned Cristova, Paulie Garand in “Hledáme doma” and Mirai in the final track “Doctor/Musician”. His band with Matyáš Vorda playing drums and Ondřej Fiedler on electric guitar and bass guitar will also go on the Hovory dům tour with Marcello. Fiedlerski is also the main producer of the record.
In 2021, Marcell toured the Czech Republic as a support band for Chinaski and Mirai, where he was very well received by the fans. In 2022, he continued his successful musical collaborations and performed as support for the band Mirai and singer Ben Cristovao at their concerts in the sold-out O2 arenas in Prague.
